Wigginton Sports and Playing Field Association
Wigginton Sports and Playing Field Association say:
Wigginton Sports and Playing Field Association applied and successfully obtained a grant from the Trust to equip the Treatment Room in the newly built Community Pavilion.
The grant enabled us to provide not only an adjustable treatment couch but also a portable first aid kit and other items to make the room fully usable. The Pavilion is not only a community centre but the headquarters of Wigginton Grasshoppers FC.
Club coaches have made good use of the room to treat minor strains and sports injuries and are able to take the First Aid kit onto the field during various practices and matches. Coincidentally all ages of Grasshopper teams have gone from strength to strength in the last season with the Seniors lifting the York Minster Engineering League Senior Cup at the new LNER Stadium in York. The Community Hall is used by many different groups and having a dedicated First Aid room is an added bonus.
