The Island

The Island say:
The grant approved by The Purey Cost Trust enabled The Island to distribute 156 Hampers of Hope. These hampers contained essential items of food as well as
activities and games for both the individual children and young people engaged in our services as well as their families. These made a real difference to the health,
(mentally, emotionally and physically) of the children, young people and their families.
Through the lockdowns The Island was able to deliver over 3,000 Hampers of Hope across the City of York; each one making a real difference. The Island was also
able to offer support through a 24 hour helpline as some children struggled with the restrictions of lockdowns.
On behalf of The Island team and above all the children, young people and their families who received these Hampers of Hope may I thank The Purey Cust Trust for their grant which truly made a real difference.
