OCAY say:

OCAY (Older Citizens Advocacy York) is a small local charity that provides a free, confidential and independent advocacy service to people over the age of 50. We have 3 members of staff and a team of volunteer advocates. We support older people to reduce feelings of loneliness and social isolation.

We help people to increase their income, voice their concerns, access information and services and to take control of their lives. We support people in the York area and the surrounding villages.

The Grant from the Purey Cust Trust helped a couple on a low income to purchase a new cooker. This has made a huge improvement to their lives as it has enabled them to cook good quality hot meals.
