British Blind Sport

British Blind Sport say:
British Blind Sport was delighted to receive funding from the Purey Cust Trust in support of a multi-sport activity day for people with visual impairments (VI) in York. 35 people with VI attended the ‘Have A Go’ day and took part in activities including Tennis, Archery, Guide Running and Rock-climbing. This day gave people with VI the valuable opportunity to try out new activities and make new friends within a supportive and understanding environment.
BBS is the only national sports charity in the UK that exclusively helps children and adults with visual impairment (VI) to get active. Since, 1975, BBS has used the power of sport to improve the health and wellbeing of more than 100,000 people with VI and help them feel more connected to their communities.
