About the Trust

The Purey Cust Trust is registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation, number 1159079

The Trust is a grant-making charity. We provide one-off grant funding to charities and charitable organisations and via third parties for the benefit of individuals living in and around the City of York.

Our Charitable Objectives

The Trust provides grant funding that aims to prevent, treat or alleviate illness, injury, disability or related conditions and disorders, whether physical or related to mental health and well-being. We also have a small amount of funding to support training in health-related matters.

Past grants

In the past, the Trust has supported the training and education of nurses and other health professionals, organisations supporting those with disabilities and individuals with particular special needs and organisations helping people cope with special medical conditions including mental health conditions.

In addition, we have made grants for the benefit of individuals via City of York Council support teams, Housing Associations and such like. These included for specialist disability equipment and treatment, improvements to living conditions and mental health and well-being support.
